Do You Ever Reward Yourself?

Most people I talk to are so concerned about taking care of their clients they forget to reward themselves. When I am coaching someone whether for business or for personal productivity, this is a very important subject to discuss. If you want to change your state of being and increase your motivation, inspiration and problem solving skills. It is important to acknowledge yourself with a reward. As a coach I not only deal with problem solving and team building, I also find solutions for people who are stuck.

Motivation Is Increased When There Is A Reward

Motivating yourself is amplified when there is a personal benefit. Sure it is great to help people and see then thrive, but it is also important for you to reap the benefits of your labor.

I remember talking to my account chain of coffee bars. “When do I get a raise?” I asked. “I am supporting 28 families and making a ton of money but not enough is getting into my pockets and I am the one taking all the risk!”This is probably the same for you if you are a small business owner or a team leader. One of my clients heads up an IT team for a large corporation and they put in countless hours while their team members punch out at five and go home.

It is important to take care of yourself and make sure you get a treat from time to time!
